Parent Items with Multiple Models

Some products may be very similar and therefore grouped together by their similarity. This means changing the mode of an Item from a Single Item to a Parent Item with multiple models and then creating the similar product as Sub-Items or Models below the newly modified Parent Item.

Catalog Items can exist in three different modes as follows

• Single Item
• Parent Item with Multiple Sub-Items or Models
• Sub-Item (Model)

A Parent Product with Multiple Sub-Items would be similar to the table in Fig 4.

Manufacturer - Crayola
Name – Coloured Pencils

Sub-Items or Models

This grouping of Products would be displayed in the IApz Catalog Manager in its own hierarchy as displayed in Fig 5.
